Joshua C. Doyle, M.Ed. is an Educational Consultant focused on specialized placements with The Goldberg Center for Educational Planning™. He has dedicated nearly 15 years to working with students who struggle with learning, attention, social, emotional and behavioral issues. Josh brings to The Goldberg Center industry-recognized tenure in admissions offices of private institutions that cater to special and alternative needs.
Most recently, Josh served as Director of Admissions at Burlington College, where he oversaw all aspects of the admissions process, from inquiry to application to enrollment for students seeking a specialized experience. He also assisted institutional leadership in planning and implementing various student support services.
Prior to that position, Josh took the helm as Admissions Director of Pine Ridge School for more than five years after serving as its Assistant Director. At Pine Ridge, a highly specialized boarding and day school for students with learning challenges, Josh developed a strong national reputation as a high-integrity professional through his stringent assessment of applicants’ needs, not only on the learning front, but in the social, emotional and behavioral domains as well.
Josh initially delved into the world of specialized schooling at Landmark School, where he taught US History, Geography, Civics, and Reading to high school students with Dyslexia and Attention Deficit Disorder in one-on-one instruction and small group settings. He also assisted with IEP meetings and provided direct supervision in residence halls after classroom hours. In addition to his extensive experience in specialized admissions positions, Josh brings a number of credentials and affiliations to The Goldberg Center, including numerous board positions, panel participations and formal recognitions of his work over the years.
Josh graduated from Castleton State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History before earning a Master of Education degree from Saint Michael’s College. He is an avid outdoorsman, snowshoeing and Nordic Skiing through the Vermont woods whenever he can. Josh and his wife are proud parents of two children. Josh splits his time between the firm’s Northern New England extension office in Burlington, Vermont and The Goldberg Center for Educational Planning™ in Braintree, Massachusetts.
