Founder, President & Educational Consultant
As founder and president of The Goldberg Center for Educational Planning, Leslie S. Goldberg, M.Ed. CEP, leverages her 40+ years of knowledge and experience to help families with children at all levels of education, including learning disabled, gifted and talented, underachievers, special needs, and non-traditional students.
Leslie graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education before earning a Master of Education degree in Guidance and Counseling from Bridgewater State University, in addition to numerous other credentials and affiliations.
With humor, compassion, discretion, and hope, Leslie conducts extensive interviews to uncover all of the background information possible to determine the needs of the clients, whether emotional, cognitive, drug, gambling, screen addiction, physical, and even some of the least known diagnoses, to successfully place them and help their families move forward.
In private practice as an educational consultant for over 30 years, Leslie has personally visited thousands of schools, colleges, and special programs, and continues to visit scores of campuses each year all over the country.
“I have to do what I feel is right. We will never place a client where we haven't visited. We have to be able to vouch for each place personally, and I wouldn't consider sending someone where I wouldn't send my own family member.” - Leslie S. Goldberg, M.Ed., CEP
By applying her persistence, determination, long-term personal connections, and well-respected reputation in the educational community, Leslie is able to go above and beyond to successfully place her clients in the most beneficial program, diagnostic, or educational setting for their individual needs.
Recognized “for her unparalleled compassion, thoughtful guidance, and vigorous family advocacy,” Leslie was honored to be voted by her peers to receive the prestigious 2016 Calo Distinguished Service Award in Boston.
A Certified Educational Planner (CEP), Leslie has served on numerous boards, advised on education policy, and has served as expert witness in many cases over the decades.
Leslie is passionate about her very rewarding work and says she'll never retire. Her extensive travel keeps her busy, as do her three sons, 4 grandchildren, and her dog, Hero.
